About Us...

Shelley began photographing at an early age.  She received her first camera at age 8 years.  After that, there was no stopping her from taking pictures of everything.  In high school, She photographed for the Yearbook and Newspaper staff as well as the sports programs. She photographed her first wedding in 1986, while still in high school.  Shelley & Colin met in 1992, and started photographing weddings together freelance. 

Since photographing her first wedding, Shelley has received an Associates degree from Spoon River College in Fine Art and a Bachelors degree from Southern Illinois University in Cinema & Photography. 

She has worked at the local newspaper as a photo correspondent and also as a photographic consultant for a Photographic Pro Shop in Peoria.  She currently works part time at a photography studio.  Also, she photographs weddings and portraits freelance from her house.  Colin is the technical person behind the "artist".  He began by carry the heavy equipment and now helps with the the photographing.  He has worked various jobs in the computer industry and now is a consultant.

In 1993, Colin & Shelley married and now have a daughter, Keara, born in 1996. 

Shelley and Colin are both members of the Associated Professional Photographers of Illinois and Shelley is a member of Professional Photographers of America.  They attend conventions yearly to get new ideas.

Shelley & Colin have many interests, but love taking photographs.  Shelley takes snapshots of their daughter, activities, vacations, etc and loves scrapbooking.  She volunteers at Keara's school whenever possible, helping with the yearbook club and whatever else they need her for.  Shelley & Colin love to travel, aside from the regular traveling in the Great USA, they have been to France, Austria, Germany, Switzerland & Italy, either traveling together or separately.  Shelley is a Past President of the Fulton County Arts Council and served on the board of directors for 9 years, she is now retired.   Check out the link to the FCAC Page, and see what they're doing.  Colin's profession is in computers. He enjoys working with Amateur radio, riding mountain bikes and paintballing.  He is the President of the Fulton County Amateur Radio Club and chairs their annual Field day exercises.  He also teaches classes on Amateur radio.       Keara will begin the 6th grade in the fall.  She enjoys 4H club, AWANA at our church, Cross Country Track running and spending time with her friends.  She's been taking pictures with her own camera since age 3 years, so she is getting pretty good too.

Shelley, Colin & Keara all enjoy photography in some way or another as a hobby or as a job.
